✐ Rest In Peace - My beloved birds

Well now it seems like my female is dying, found her 3 mornings in a row on the same place where I found the male dead. She ate a little bit yesterday, but is not able to perch, falls down on the cage bottom. She's so weak, she have a hard time, sitting on my shoulder, but she insists, she want to be close to me. Last night I wrapped her loosely in a soft towel and took her to bed with me, we slept together all night. She is on my shoulder atm, but haven't eaten or drank any water yet, it breaks my heart seeing her this sick and weak. Of course I'm hoping she will pull trhough, but watching her closely yesterday and today, I just know she is dying, the wait for her last breath is killing me. I don't know if she's in pain or suffering. My life SUCKS at the moment.

My female cockatiel (age 16 years) passed away at, 14:30 pm CET - March 18, 2011. R.I.P

She was fine the first 4 weeks after the male passed away, but week 5 something changed, she started to give up. She passed away while I was holding her in my hands, felt and heard her last breath, feeling the life in her body vanish. Now both of them are gone and my appartment feels very empty and I feel very lonely in my grief. There is no Delete Button to "The Bad Memories Folder" in my brain, only the passing of time will make the memories slowly fade away.

✐ UPDATE

My RL life have changed completly since my male cockatiel died 5 weeks ago, his female partner of 15 years is still in life. She does not like to be alone in the cage, she's clinging to me desperetly, want's to sit on my shoulder ALL the time, around 8 hrs a day. The first weeks, she ate her seeds and drank some water before she called on me, now as soon she want's me to uncover her cage, she doesn't care about the fresh seeds and water in her bowls, all she wants is to sit on my shoulder.

It's almost like having an infant, I have to give her all my attention the 8 hours she wants to be "awake". That means running back and forward to her cage when she wants to eat or drink. Every attempt to try to take her off my shoulder is met by a very upset protest from her, I mean I do need to use the bathroom sometimes or do some household shores. Which means I have to move my shoulders and arms, then she mostly falls off my shoulder, (she can't fly, her "flying wings" stopped growing many years ago). So this new situation will take some time to get used to.

✐ MY QUEEN - MY MISTRESS

Everytime you call I come running to you to see what you want. In the mornings you call on me to uncover the cage, then you want fresh seeds and water in your bowls, and I serve you. After your meal you demand that I come again, now you want to sit on my shoulder, sitting there polishing your feathers or just resting, a squeek from you, means you want me to scratch your head and I obey. Then you refuse to leave my shoulder, even if I have to go to the bathroom, your little feet are like glued onto my shoulder. Later on, in the afternoon, it starts with a squeek, if I don't pay attention, you start screaming, then I know you demand that I put you back into the cage and cover it, cause now you want to have your privacy, and I obey, I do everything for you, my beloved "bird queen/mistress". <3

✐ ~ REST IN PEACE ~

~ R.I.P my beloved bird ~
This morning I found my male cockatiel dead at the bottom of the cage. Born 1997 - Dead 2011, Ferbruary 8, the day after my RL birthday, it was really a chock for me to find him laying there lifeless, dead.
☹ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME ☹

Now almost 4 weeks later the 'memory images' still haunts me, I still have my female cockatiel, I give her all the attention she wants, I mean her partner of 15 years is gone, she wants to be me with all the time now, her little feet almost glued on to my shoulder, so she's fine. I envy her, she doesn't have the brain capabilty to save 'memory images', she lives here and now, I wish I could do that too. Where is the Delete button to the "Bad Memory Folder" in my brain?!

Disclaimer:
This is just me making a satire of all the "Beauty Contests" in Second Life, and not directed to any particular person or establishment. I'm pondering over why we humans have this need to compete all the time, is it in our genes or the enviroment, or maybe a combination of the both...? I mean the "happiness" you feel when you win something is so momentary, after awhile you want to win something bigger, you want more and more. The cup is always half empty...

✐ SANTA LUCIA'S DAY IN SECOND LIFE

Full lenght (5 min) video clip on YouTube

Saint Lucy's Day (December 13 every year) is one of my favorite celebrations in Sweden, we call it Santa Lucia. This is the darkest time of the year, (sunrise: 8:35 AM, sunset: 2:47 PM), so this day is very special to me. Lucia and her maids brings light and sings beautiful christmas songs, very much needed during this depressing time of the season, so much darkness.
-----------------------------------------------
"The Swedish lyrics to the Neapolitan song Santa Lucia have traditionally been either Natten går tunga fjät (The Night walks with heavy steps) or Santa Lucia, ljusklara hägring (Saint Lucy, bright mirage). There is also a modern version with easier text for children: Ute är mörkt och kallt (Outside it's dark and cold)"

"Saint Lucy's Day or the Feast of St. Lucy (Santa Lucia, Saint Lucia or sometimes Lucia for short) is the Church feast day dedicated to St. Lucy and is observed on December 13. Its modern day celebration is generally associated with Sweden..."

"In the Lucia procession in the home, the oldest daughter brings coffee and St. Lucia buns to her parents while wearing a candle-wreath and singing a Lucia song. Other daughters may help, dressed in the same kind of white robe and carrying a candle in one hand, but only the oldest daughter wears the candle-wreath."

✐ STYLING FORWARD - EPISODE 7

The assignement was, "Bring out the Christmas Spirit"

Well my "Christmas Spirit" didn't care about fashion, she had a "message" she wanted to share, that Abraham had whispered in her ear, while she slept; "Live in PEACE! Please stop these ugly religeous wars, that's been going on for thousands of years now, have you forgotten that I'm the father of you all, stop this nonsense NOW!"

I went back to the source, the old testamente, that the 3 major religions, Jews, Christians and Muslims have in common. To Abraham and his wife Sarah and Hagar.

"Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are sometimes referred to as the "Abrahamic religions" because of the progenitor role that Abraham plays in their holy books. In both the Jewish tradition and the Qur'an, he is referred to as "our Father". Jews, Christians, and Muslims consider him father of the people of Israel. For Jews and Christians this is through his son Isaac by his wife Sarah; for Muslims, he is a prophet of Islam and the ancestor of Muhammad through his other son Ishmael, born to him by Sarah's handmaiden, Hagar."

Therefore I'm dressed in a Burka, representing the Muslims, the wreath on my head represents Christianity and then the Jewish chandelier 'menorah' on top of my head. In my hands I have a bowl of 'Peace Doves', that flies around me. That was my Christmas Spirit. :-)

This was my last performance and I'm happy, these 7-8 weeks have taken it's toll on me. But it has been a great learning experience, which I'm really greatful for. And the remaining 4 contestants are all super master stylists, they have been very supportive and I consider them as my friends. I wish them all the best, Good Luck, may the best woman or man win!!!

THE TRUTH
I participated in 7 episodes of Styling Forward and it was fun the first 5 weeks, but it was very expensive, time consuming and BORING. I mean spending the whole weeks running around the grid, trying to find the right items for the stylings, is NOT what I would call fun. I'd spent so much money and realized I couldn't afford it, so for the 6th episode I got a freebie outfit, styled as 'Deadly Danielle' and was hoping to be voted out, but I wasn't. So for the 7th episode, ' Christmas Spirit' I dressed myself in a burka and wore some religeous symbols and chosed really boring poses, just to make sure I would be voted out and this time it worked. And ever since then I've been reflecting over my time as a model in SL and finally decided, modeling is not for me. I quit!
